Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 1, 2026 | Last Updated: June 10, 2026
PIRlo Holding Company LLC ("PIRlo," "we," "us," or "our") operates pirlosoccer.com and provides player intelligence and performance analytics services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Account and contact information: Name, email address, phone number, organization (club, academy, or agency), and role (player, parent/guardian, coach, scout, administrator).
- Player profile information: Player name, date of birth or age group, position, team, jersey number, and league or competition information.
- Payment information: Billing details processed through our third-party payment processor. PIRlo does not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
- Communications: Information you provide when you contact us for support, request a demo, or respond to surveys.
Information collected through our analytics services
- Match video footage: Video of matches and training sessions uploaded by clubs, coaches, parents, or captured through integrated camera systems.
- Performance data: Individual player metrics derived from match video and event data, including passing, dribbling, goal involvement, aerial, defensive, and offensive performance measurements.
- Computer vision and tracking data: Our video analysis technology detects players on the field, reads jersey numbers, and tracks player movement during matches in order to generate performance assessments. This data is used solely to produce player analytics and reports.
- Wearable/GPS data: Where a club or player uses an integrated GPS or wearable provider, we receive physical performance data (distance, speed, load) as authorized by the club or account holder.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, and referring URLs.
- Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Cookies and similar technologies: See Section 8 below.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve our player analytics services and reports
- Generate individual player performance assessments and benchmarking
- Support player recruitment, scouting, and longitudinal player development tracking by maintaining historical performance records over time
- Improve the accuracy of our statistical analysis methods and benchmarking models using anonymized data, from which names and identifying details have been removed
- Process video footage through our analysis pipeline to produce metrics
- Manage accounts, process payments, and provide customer support
- Communicate with you about your account, reports, and service updates
- Send marketing communications where permitted (you may opt out at any time)
- Maintain the security and integrity of our platform
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use player video or performance data for advertising purposes, without the express written consent of the parent or player who is over the age of 18.
3. Children's and Youth Player Data
Many of the athletes assessed through PIRlo are minors. We take youth data seriously.
- Parental consent: Where we collect personal information directly from a player under 18 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction), we require verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian. For players assessed through a club or academy account, the club or academy is responsible for obtaining appropriate consents from parents or guardians before submitting player information and footage.
- Limited use: Youth player data is used only to provide the analytics services requested — including maintaining performance records over time to support the player's development tracking and recruitment — and is never used for advertising, profiling unrelated to player development, or sale to third parties. Anonymized data (with all identifying details removed) may be used to improve our statistical analysis.
- Parental rights: Parents and guardians may review their child's information, request correction or deletion of the player's metadata (such as name, profile details, and other identifying information), or withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at nancy@pirloanalytics.com. PIRlo does not alter the underlying performance analytics themselves on request — those are verified outputs of our analysis — but a parent or guardian may request deletion of the player's identifiable data in full at any time.
- Account-holder-controlled visibility: PIRlo does not publish youth player assessments publicly. Reports are delivered to the requesting account holder (e.g., the parent, club, or authorized agent) and shared only through links the account holder controls. The account holder may keep a link private, share it with specific recipients, or make it public, and may gate, restrict, or revoke access at any time at their choosing. Any public visibility of a minor's report results only from the express choice of the parent/guardian or authorized account holder.
4. Video Footage and Tracking Data
- Match footage is processed only to identify players and generate performance metrics. Detection and tracking are used for analytics only. We retain video only transiently — for as long as needed to process the footage and verify the resulting data. In practice we stream or download the footage, extract and verify the metrics, and then purge the video as promptly as possible. We do not store match footage on an ongoing basis.
- We do not use facial recognition to identify individuals. Player identification relies on jersey numbers and team/roster information provided by the account holder.
- Performance data and derived metrics are retained on an ongoing basis to support player recruitment, longitudinal development tracking, and historical benchmarking, as described in Section 7. Anonymized data may be retained indefinitely to improve our statistical analysis.
- Clubs, academies, and individuals uploading footage are responsible for ensuring they have the right to record and share that footage, including any consents required by their league, venue, or local law.
5. How We Share Information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- With the account holder: Player reports and assessments are delivered to the club, academy, agent, parent, or individual who commissioned them.
- Account-holder-controlled sharing: Reports are shared through links generated for the account holder. The account holder controls each link's visibility — a link may be kept private, shared with specific recipients, or made public — and may gate, restrict, or revoke access at any time at their choosing. PIRlo does not itself publish player reports publicly; any public visibility results from a link the account holder has chosen to make public.
- Service providers: We use third-party providers for payment processing, cloud hosting and storage, video processing infrastructure, email delivery, and accounting. These providers may access information only as needed to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Business transfers: If PIRlo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of PIRlo, our users, or others.
We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
6. International Data Transfers
PIRlo is based in the United States and serves customers internationally, including in the European Union and United Kingdom. If you are located outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
For users in the EU/UK (GDPR): Our legal bases for processing include performance of a contract (providing the services you or your club purchased), legitimate interests (improving and securing our services), consent (where required, including for minors' data and marketing), and legal compliance. You have the rights described in Section 9.
7. Data Retention
Player performance data: We retain player performance data, assessments, and historical metrics on an ongoing, indefinite basis. Maintaining these records over time is core to our service — it enables player recruitment and scouting use cases, longitudinal development tracking, and accurate historical benchmarking. This data remains subject to your rights under Section 9: you (or a parent/guardian, for a minor player) may request deletion of identifiable player data at any time, and we will honor that request as required by applicable law.
Anonymized data: We retain anonymized data — from which names, jersey numbers in combination with rosters, and other identifying details have been removed so that it can no longer reasonably be linked to an individual — indefinitely, and use it to improve the accuracy of our statistical analysis methods and benchmarking models. Because this data identifies no one, it is not subject to deletion requests.
Match footage: We do not retain raw video footage on an ongoing basis. Footage is held only transiently while we process it and verify the resulting metrics, and is then deleted or purged as promptly as possible. Storing video is not part of our service; our retained outputs are the performance data and derived metrics described above.
8. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how our website is used. We may use third-party analytics tools (such as website analytics providers) that collect usage information. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you or your child
- Correct inaccurate player metadata (such as name, age group, team, or profile details). Note: the underlying performance analytics are verified by PIRlo before a report is released and are not altered on request; you may, however, request deletion of identifiable player data.
- Delete your information ("right to be forgotten")
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at nancy@pirloanalytics.com. We will verify your identity before fulfilling requests and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services (including camera systems, wearable providers, and social media). This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date, and for material changes we will provide notice through the website or by email.
